The organizational set-up behind Nico is significant. Nico’s family has put most things to one side to give him the best possible platform for training and competing. To give you an idea of the extent of their dedication, the family has invested in their own semitrailer, permanently stationed in Barcelona, making it far more practical to travel around Europe. This means that they fly to southern Europe and then use the vehicle to cover the distances. The vehicle covered a whopping 40,000 kilometers during the 2024 season alone! The races Nico participates in are scattered across Europe, from Portugal in the west to Croatia in the east. From Granada in the south to Voss, Norway, in the north.

When did you do your first backflip?
When I was 10 on mtb and 12 on motocross bike.
You drive a lot of motocross. When did you start doing that?
When I was 5! Still race a lot during off season!
What does the number 84 stand for?
That was the number I wore when I was racing motocross. It’s also the number of Jeffery Herlings, the best motocross racer in the world.
